Top vocational performers (L-R): Bartosz Wieloch, Sophie Moore, Bartosz Hyrp, Caitlin Doyle and Kyle Williams.

We were delighted to recently receive an award from SSAT (the schools, students and teacher network), in recognition of the exceptional progress in the Sixth Form in 2019 for the Applied General Subjects. This performance is part of an ongoing three-year positive trend.

Students who completed either triple, double or single awards (three, two or one grades) in business, ICT or sport, achieved 80% Distinction* or Distinction Grades (the equivalent to A* or A grades). Indeed, 100% of all awards taken were graded at Merit or above. All students on these courses secured university courses and apprenticeships for 2019-20.

Progress across the whole school is excellent, however, these results are so much better than the national average Key Stage 5 examination scores, that they qualify for this prestigious honour. Congratulations to all the students on their own results and to the staff for the great commitment to the students and their learning.
