Working with our local community to help people in need is very important. To that end, we teamed up with Ivybridge Link, a local food pantry. Students were encouraged to donate non-perishable food items and toiletries. This campaign ran from Monday 12 – Friday 16 December.

Essential food items required by the food bank included:

Toiletries & household items (priority)

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, sanitary pads/tampons, deodorant, toilet paper, washing up liquid, antibacterial wipes, laundry detergent, multipurpose spray, nappies, baby wipes, baby food, baby formula.

Food

Tinned soup, cereal, baked beans, tinned tomatoes, tinned fruits, tinned peas, tinned chickpeas, tinned beans, tinned meat / spam, tinned meal, cooking sauce, rice, pasta, pasta sauce, sugar, tea, coffee, long life milk, jam/spread, biscuits, squash/juice.

All donations were collected by their Form Tutors, House & Citizenship Ambassadors and Senior House Ambassadors during morning registration. The foodbank was so grateful for the amount of items raised.
