It has been lovely to be able to open the school to visitors again and after such an extended period when we have only been open to students and staff. This term we have held an Open Evening and a series of Open Mornings for prospective Year 7 students for 2022. These events provided the opportunity for our guests to look around the school and to witness why boys do so well at Isleworth & Syon School.

Meeting our students – all of whom volunteered to guide guests around the school – and having the ability to speak to staff and to see lessons taking place, allowed visitors to experience the “feel of the place” and there is no doubt that this was preferable to the virtual tours that occurred during the period of COVID-19 lockdown.

It was also the first opportunity for parents and carers to see the site changes that have taken place at school in the past year, including the expanded dining facilities and new drama and music suites.

We have also enjoyed having our current parents/carers back in school and many of them have attended expectations evenings and fulfilled appointments during our recent Partnership & Progress Day. Looking ahead to December, we are expecting our School Production,  the Christmas Concert and the Senior Awards Evening to be further chances for audiences to return to our much-loved school events.
