Following his acceptance into the Royal College of Music (RCM), Year 13 student Max Mills has given his first performance as part of the college’s Big Band. On Sunday 6 July 2014. Miss Andrews and Miss Powell from the music department were in attendance as Max performed two items on the kit and percussion alongside other RCM graduates and under-graduated.

The line-up for the all-day event – which celebrated all that is percussion – included the famous Gavin Harrison, as well as renowned session legend Ralph Salmins, who will also be Max’s tutor in September. Miss Andrews stated afterwards that Max “did not look out of place and truly held his own with the stunning Big Band” during an extraordinary performance. As well as this, Max was billed in the programme as a future “high-flyer” of RCM!

Everyone at Isleworth & Syon is incredibly proud of Max and all his achievements. We wish him all the best with his musical career.
