Six students from Isleworth & Syon’s brass band took part in the inaugural Hounslow Schools Prom, hosted by the Heathland School on Thursday 22 May 2014. They were joined by five other schools from the borough: Chiswick School, Gumley House School, Gunnersbury School, The Heathland School and Lampton School.
This event is a brand new initiative between the music departments from secondary schools across the borough, with support from the Hounslow Music Service. Isleworth & Syon were the third ensemble to perform, and gave a rousing performance. Led by Mr. Goodall of the Hounslow Music Service, the boys performed three outstanding pieces: ‘Hava Nagila’, ‘La Bamba’ and ‘Swinging with the Mountain King’. They received a raucous response from the audience.
