Induction 2025

Last week, Year 7 parents/carers were invited to school for the very special Induction Assembly. This celebration is the culmination of families’ nine-month transition process, which began with their offer in March. All of this is designed to help Year 7 get the very best start to life as an Isleworthian.

As Mr McAlinden led the assembly, it was very clear that Year 7 have done a brilliant job adjusting to secondary school life. This 45-minute event, then, saw students and visitors reflecting on the journey so far. Each students received either a bronze, silver or gold medal, while other awards and certificates were handed out to those students who have gone above and beyond. We heard inspiring words from a Sixth Form student leader, Christopher Edwards, as well as student ambassadors from each form. The Year 7s all spoke eloquently about what they have enjoyed and what they have found challenging this term. We were also lucky to hear from the Year 7 band ahead of their rocking performance at Thursday’s Winter Concert.

Students could be seen wearing their medals with pride at the end of the assembly and for the rest of the school day! Thank you to those parents/carers who attended this fantastic celebration.
