Year 11 Launch: Roadmap to GCSE Success Event 2026

When students reach Year 11, they quickly realise that this will be their most important year so far. As their GCSE courses reach the second and final year, students are expected to follow our mantra of 'think hard and 'work hard' more than ever before!

To help bridge the gap, we held a Year 11 Launch Event for parents/carers and students at the start of September. Titled 'Roadmap to GCSE Success', this half-hour event outlined our expectations and key milestones for Year 11, focusing on the steps students can take to maximise their progress. It also talked about the importance of students fully engaging with support on offer by the school, as well as a toolkit of ways that parents/carers can support the rest of the GCSE journey. Students also collected their summer internal examination results.

This was a fantastic event which brought together students, school and parents/carers in partnership, working towards a common goal. This is exactly what Isleworth & Syon School is about.
