Track & Field Championships

Track and Field 2026

The sporting highlight of our calendar is always the Track & Field Championship, a supercharged and super-competitive athletics house competition. It took place over the road at the Osterley track once again, with students showing great resilience in the face of very warm July temperatures. The full four-hour programme featured all track and field events - a superb showcase of athletics! The boys battled hard throughout as they gain points for their houses - with fantastic team spirit and camarederie on display. Participation levels were, as always superb. Do check out our gallery of photographs above.

The overall winners were Adam by just a 13-point margin - one of our closest championships in years! This was a record-breaking day, with Jack Barnes smashing the Year 7 300m school record by over a second - a record which had stood for 13 years. Meanwhile, Grant Lydon broke the Track and Field record for the Year 8 shot put, throwing 9.85m to beat the 11-year old record. Back on the track, Reuben Mansaray obliterated the Year 9 Track and Field record for the 300m - running a full 3.5 seconds faster than the previous best! You can see full details in the table below.
