Tate Modern Art Trip
Tate Modern
At the start of term, our big group of Year 11 GCSE artists headed to London’s Tate Modern for a special trip. This was a fantastic example of Isleworthians taking advantage of going to school in England's thriving capital city. Students enjoyed walking along the South Bank (pictured third above). We work hard to give students these outstanding opportunities.
For the trip, the aim was to capture material and inspiration to use in their coursework (pictured first and second above). Students loved their time in the gallery, and it gave them a great inspiration of style and tone. As one student summarised, "I was opened to unique art forms and mediums that I didn’t consider before." Once students returned to school, they could then incorporate the material into their own workbooks to enhance their growing portfolio. Well done everyone for an outstanding trip.
