Tate Britain Gallery Trip

Earlier this week, the art department organised a superb enrichment trip, taking advantage of the rich ‘cultural capital’ on our doorstep. Year 11 GCSE students headed to the Tate Britain gallery in Westminster, London. The aim was to capture material and inspiration to use in their coursework. Students loved their time in the gallery, and it gave them a great inspiration of varying styles and art movements. This could then be incorporated into their projects now they are back to school. Students loved the trip and were abuzz on the train home. They were very motivated to continue their projects. This was a great example of how the school’s outstanding opportunities directly benefit classroom learning.
