Summer Arts Festival 2026

Summer Arts Festival

So grateful that I&S continues to champion the creative arts and provide so many amazing, life-changing opportunities for our boys.

The annual Summer Arts Festival is a popular tradition of the I&S calendar, and this year's event had its biggest crowd ever! This incredible performing arts spectacular showcased the work and talent of over 200 students, with the event split into different zones across the school. On offer included:

  • Drama club performances – including an original piece about reading from Years 7 & 8, and comedy sketches from the 9s and 10s
  • Exhibitions for art, DT and film – showcasing work from all ages, as well as interactive elements like 'create your own laser-cut keyring' and green screen fun!
  • The acoustic stage amongst the trees at the front of the school - bringing a more mellow tone through superb individual and group performances
  • The band stage in the central quad - featuring a huge range of bands of all ages as well as Ark-4, the winner of Hounslow Battle of the Bands!

As if all that was not enough, we were thrilled to welcome back some esteemed Isleworthians from performances past - as alumni came back to perform and assist. We welcomed Ayman Shah and Jonas Canniere to perform acoustically and with the bands, and were delighted that Tadgh Russell returned to run the technical elements in the main quad. It was a great example of how our students are Isleworthians for life.

The evening concluded in the central quad for the show-stopping finale, featuring all students! The crowd were on their feet singing along to the Jackson 5 and Queen, with Head of Music Mr McKeever conducting affairs with his usual gusto. It was a phenomenal experience out in the open air, with a thrilling energy in the air as everyone had so much fun. It was also great to see so many of our next generation of Isleworthians in attendance - our new Year 7s starting in September - as well as members of the local community.

It is fair to say that you cannot get an event like this anywhere else in the borough, and we are so proud to host such a magical event. Well done to everyone involved who made it happen - it shows just how much the arts continues to be valued at Isleworth & Syon School. Check out some visitor feedback below:
