Students Win Hounslow Battle of the Bands!

We have been pleased to take part in the Hounslow Battle of the Bands competition for a number of years. It is a fantastic way to celebrate a love of music-making across the borough. Our in-school qualifying round was fiercely competitive, eventually won by the band ‘Ark – 4’. Made up of Ryan Edwards, Alexander Moran (both Year 10), Rian McKeever and Kaman Tamang (both Year 11), the group finished a narrow second the previous year, so headed to the University of West London determined to go one better and win the whole thing!

When it was time to perform, the boys gave the performance of their lives, stunning the assembled audience. When the results were revealed, we were delighted to win the competition! This was a fitting reward for the boys’ never-say-die attitude, and they were suitably thrilled afterwards.

This event was a fantastic way for students to build their networking skills as well as experiencing music competition. We will always give students the chance to experience the power of music – and to help them develop into mature and confident young men.

Ark – 4’s next eagerly awaited performance will be at our Summer Arts Festival, taking place on Thursday 2 July!
