Sixth Form Quiz Night

Following last year’s successful launch of the Sixth Form Quiz Night, this year’s event took place on Thursday 19 March, with Brentford School for Girls. The evening involved lots of planning and preparation, including a full test run of the quiz with Brentford beforehand, as well as plenty of advertising in assemblies and creating posters to put up in the Sixth Form Study Room. 

The quiz itself featured 16 rounds, each containing 10 questions, covering a wide range of topics such as Guess the Audio, Film & TV, Food, General Knowledge, Sport, and many more. 

We had the privilege of hosting the event again this year. The event was set up in the canteen, with round tables, screens, and background music to create a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Halfway through the evening, we had a break. Brentford School for Girls kindly provided drinks, snacks, and prizes, while our school supplied pizzas, making the night feel even more special and turning it into the perfect social event. 

The competition was incredibly close. The winning team, called Freakadoodles, made up of students from both Isleworth & Syon and Brentford School for Girls, secured first place by just two points. Narrowly behind them was Team Pink Sparkles, an all Isleworth & Syon group. 

A huge thank you goes to all the staff who helped the evening run so smoothly. With the success of this year’s event, we hope to continue building on this tradition with even more quiz nights and social events involving other schools in the future.
