Site Developments - 2025-26

Site Developments 2025-26

We remain committed to ensuring that our school environment evolves in ways that support learning, enhance opportunities for students, and provide a safe, welcoming and professional setting for all members of our community. Some key projects from the last academic year are outlined below.

Transforming Cricket Provision

This summer, we have installed new four-lane cricket nets (pictured first). This major investment will transform our cricket provision, providing a high-quality training environment. The facility offers a safer, more professional setting and greatly increases capacity for training and player development.

Enhancing Security at Busch Corner

Our playing fields at Busch Corner remains one of the school’s most valuable assets. This year, significant security improvements have been made, including enhanced electronic access control and upgraded CCTV (pictured second). These measures help to protect the facility, so everyone can continue to enjoy the site safely and securely.

Investing in Essential Infrastructure

During the year, significant works were carried out on the school’s main boiler system. These upgrades will help to ensure reliable and efficient heating across the site while supporting our long-term sustainability and resilience.

The School Environment

The appearance of the school makes a big difference. Further phases of corridor redecoration during 2025-26 continue to create spaces which reflect our high standards.

Improving Fitness Facilities

Our school gym has been redecorated with upgraded access arrangements (pictured third). It is now a more modern, secure and appealing environment to boost students’ physical and mental health.

Preserving Our Heritage

Our commitment to celebrating the school’s history has continued through the digitisation and professional framing of architectural school plans from the 1930s. Now displayed within the Heritage Room (pictured fourth), these remarkable documents ensure that an important part of our history is preserved.

Celebrating Alumni Success

A notable addition to the school this year has been the creation of a larger dedicated Alumni Wall in the library corridor.

This impressive display (pictured fifth) highlights the achievements of former students who have gone on to successful careers across a diverse range of industries and professions. Showcasing excellence in fields including sport, science, the arts and business, the wall serves as both a celebration of past achievements and an inspiration to current and future generations of students. You can read the profiles on this website.

Each of these developments reflects our continued commitment to investing in the school and providing the very best environment for our community. These projects help ensure that Isleworth & Syon remains a school that honours its past whilst continually looking towards the future.

None of this would be possible without the expertise, professionalism and dedication of our Operations and Estates Team, whose outstanding work continues to support every aspect of school life.
