Senior Awards 2025
Senior Awards 2025
On Monday, we were delighted to host our Senior Awards Evening, celebrating students in Years 10-13 from the 2024-25 academic year. We once again held the event in December so that our leavers could attend, as many of them have just finished their first semester at university.
In total, 152 students received awards during the hour-long ceremony, which must be pretty close to a school record! A huge array of cups, prizes, trophies and awards were on offer to encompass all aspects of school life, including academic, sporting, citizenship and arts success. These awards all celebrate the values that make an Isleworthian, such as resilience in the face of adversity and students exhibiting superb leadership qualities.
We were delighted to welcome former student Raymond Anum (pictured second above) into school to present some awards and talk to the audience of students and parents/carers. Raymond is a professional actor, having recently performed in the West End alongside Kenneth Branagh as well as in a popular off-Broadway show in New York City. Raymond spoke beautifully about the impact that the school had on him personally as well as his journey to date.
The evening concluded with the final award, and the most prestigious of all - the Headmaster’s Trophy. This is particularly special as it is a "secret award" - only the Co-Headteachers know the recipient in advance. The worthy winner was Blake Lawrence (pictured first above), last year's Head Student. Mr Fisher praised Blake for his all-round contribution over seven years as well as the legacy he has left in the school. Now in his first year at Cambridge reading law, it was a pleasure to present Mikaeel this award. Well done to him as well as everyone else who received awards!
It is important to note that events like this form part of the tradition of our school; indeed, we know that awards ceremonies like this have been part of school life for at least a hundred years. We are one of very few local schools to celebrate our students in this way, so well done to all the winners.
