Junior Awards 2025-26

We were delighted to invite parents/carers into school for our Junior Awards celebration. This event is the culmination of three years at school for Year 9 students, offering a huge range of rewards as students reach the end of Key Stage 3. Mr McAlinden led the celebration during the hour-long ceremony, where prizes on offer included:

• Subject honours
• Colours ties and flashes
• Pastoral prizes
• Trophies - sporting, academic and extra-curricular.

The biggest prize of all, though, was the final one - the Headteacher's Cup. Nominated by the Co-Heads with the identity known only to them in advance, this trophy is presented to the student judged to have made the biggest sustained commitment to school life across the three years. The 2025-26 winner could have been one of several students, but it was given to Finn Barnes (pictured right) - richly deserved for his all-round contributions to school life, including representing the school in athletics as well as being a regular on stage as part of our musical ensembles. Well done to everybody who won an award. This event is complemented by our Senior Awards in December, where students in Years 10-13 will receive a huge range of prizes!
