IAG Cargo

We work hard in school to expose students to a huge range of different careers, with the mantra of "pathways, not corridors" showcasing that there are a huge range of different avenues. To that end, Mr Adams (Careers Leader) arranged for some Sixth Form students to attend an Open Day from a company called IAG Cargo. Based in Heathrow Airport, the company deliver across the world.

This exciting event took students behind the scenes of what they do, allowing them to network with colleagues and explore their Emerging Talent career pathways like apprenticeships, internships and degrees with placements. Students loved the interactive activities - including an escape room-style team exercise - as well as speaking to staff at a range of different levels about their experiences. Finally, they had a talk from recent alumni from IAG apprenticeship programmes. As students left for home, they were left with plenty of food for thought as they consider their next steps after Sixth Form.
