Hounslow Borough Chess Tournament

As part of our continued engagement with our community secondary schools, we were thrilled to send six students to Springwest Academy for the Hounslow Borough Chess Competition. Students qualified for this full-day event by progressing through the in-school qualifying rounds earlier in the term.

The competition was fiercely contested, with each students playing six games against students from schools across the borough. It was a fun and enriching day for our boys as they represented the school, finishing fourth out of eight overall. The top performer was Jay Byrepalli who did not lose a match all day! The boys did a brilliant job and gave a great account of themselves throughout. We have been delighted to see the Chess Club flourishing this school year, as it is a long-standing I&S tradition - long may it continue!
