Badminton - Key Stage 4 Borough Champions

Our KS4 borough badminton domination continued yesterday (Wednesday 12/11) as our outstanding 'A' team were once again crowned as champions! Incredibly, that is now sixteen years in a row that Isleworth & Syon have been the best in the borough at this age range. A truly outstanding achievement!

This year, we took five teams to the competition, which took place across the road at Osterley Sports Centre. Coach Miss George led the team through weeks of training to prepare for some tough battles against local schools. The students performed absolutely brilliantly throughout the competition, facing some difficult challenges along the way! The ‘A’ team reached the final, where they faced Springwest Academy. Our win was confident and deserved, meaning we brought the trophy back to school once again.

Special mention must go as well to our Year 12 Sports Leaders who supported throughout the event including impressive umpiring. Well done to the whole squad but particularly the winning four (pictured above, L-R): Daniel Celestino, Zeeshan Memon, Jonas Pardo Buikus and Himank Bakshi.
