Dear Parent/Carer,
Year 11 Public Examinations – Update on Arrangements After Half-Term
We are writing to confirm the arrangements for the final three weeks of public examinations and how we will continue to support your son/ward through this important period.
Year 11 students continue to work extremely hard in lessons, revision sessions and GCSE warm-up activities. In response to student voice, and in recognition of this hard work, we are making some adjustments to the school day from Monday 1 June to Friday 5 June.
These arrangements have been carefully planned following a review of examination timetables to ensure students continue to receive maximum teacher input in the subjects where examinations are still to be completed. Full attendance remains expected throughout this period.
During this time, students will be either:
- Sitting a public examination
- Attending taught lessons for subjects with remaining examinations
- Participating in supervised revision sessions to support preparation
- Attending a warm-up session (Period 4) prior to any afternoon examination

Monday 1 June: |

|
Friday 5 June: |

From Monday 8 June, students will only be required to attend school when they have either:
- a scheduled public examination, or
- a planned Period 4 warm-up session prior to an examination.
We will write to you again after half-term with further details regarding the dates and times of Period 4 warm-up sessions.
Be aware that we will be holding a celebration event on Wednesday 17 June for all students to mark the end of the examinations. More details will follow soon.
Thank you for your continued support during this important examination period.
Yours sincerely,
Mr M Dargan
