5 June 2026

Dear Parent/Carer,

Year 11 Arrangements Update –
Public Examinations and Celebration Assembly & Barbecue

Public Examinations – Warm-Up Sessions

We are writing to confirm the arrangements for the final weeks of public examinations and to explain how we will continue to support your son/ward through this important period.

With many examinations now having been completed, we will move to a model where students are only required to attend school when they have either:

  • a scheduled public examination, or
  • a planned Period 4 warm-up session prior to an examination.

Below is a list of the warm-up sessions that will be taking place. All warm-ups start at 12.00pm.

Year 11 Celebration Assembly & Barbecue

On Wednesday 17 June, we will hold our Year 11 Celebration Event to acknowledge the end of examinations and reflect on students' time at Isleworth & Syon School. Students will enjoy a special assembly and barbecue. Key details are below:

When

Wednesday 17 June, 11.00am

Where:

School Hall

Dress:

Attend in full school uniform. Appearance should be in accordance with the school's appearance policy.

 Important Notes About Timings

  • Students sitting the Spanish examination will have their break as normal and will then be directed to the Main Hall at 11.00am.
  • All other students should arrive on site at 11.00am (not before) and proceed directly to the Main Hall.
  • The barbecue will begin immediately following the Celebration Assembly.
  • During their time in the quad, students are welcome to sign shirts. Shirts signed before the assembly will not meet the Appearance Policy.

Students will be dismissed from the school site at approximately 12.30pm.

Behaviour

It is important that your son/ward continues to maintain the high standards he has demonstrated throughout the examination season to date. For all exams and warm-up sessions, this means:

  • Full attendance
  • Being on time
  • Exemplary behaviour and conduct
  • In full school uniform and following the Appearance Policy.

All school expectations continue to apply when travelling to and from school as normal.

Your son/ward’s invitation to the Year 11 Celebration Event may be withdrawn if he does not meet these expectations. In addition, the following may apply:

  • He may not be allowed to attend additional revision sessions.
  • He may have to sit examinations separately from other students.
    • o This may incur invigilation costs payable by parents/carers (£13.15 per hour).
  • His Isleworth & Syon Sixth Form place may be at risk.

We really appreciate your continued support.

Yours faithfully,

Mr M Dargan
