Dear Parent/Carer,
Wider Learning Week 2026
Year 9 Day-by-Day Reminders
Wider Learning Week (WLW) will run from Monday 6 – Friday 10 July 2026. You son/ward will take part in a range of exciting activities across the week designed to promote wider understanding, independence, and challenge.
Ahead of WLW, please see below a reminder of the timetable and key points for what is sure to be an exciting and engaging week.
Key Points
- Canteen will be open as normal for on-site students.
- Full school uniform should be worn, and equipment brought as normal.
- Students are allowed to wear plain black trainers for any trips.
- Students taking part in Sports Week will need to wear their PE Kit all week.
- Students should bring a packed lunch (FSM students will be provided with one), as well as a bottle of water and suncream needed for trips.
- Students will be meeting in different rooms each day – these will be displayed on screens around the school, so they need to check when they arrive each morning.
- All trips are scheduled to take place during the school day unless otherwise stated. Students must arrive on to school site at 8.30am to go on the trip as venues have been booked for specific times.
