Dear Parent/Carer,
Wider Learning Week 2026
Year 7 Day-by-Day Reminders
Wider Learning Week (WLW) will run from Monday 6 – Friday 10 July 2026. You son/ward will take part in a range of exciting activities across the week designed to promote wider understanding, independence, and challenge.
Ahead of WLW, please see below a reminder of the timetable and key points for what is sure to be an exciting and engaging week.
Key Points
- Canteen will be open as normal for on-site students.
- Full school uniform should be worn, and equipment brought as normal.
- Students are allowed to wear plain black trainers for their House Day visit.
- Students will need to wear their school PE Kit (House top) to school on whichever day they are participating in Medieval Sports (students should bring mouthguard) and Citizenship Day.
- Shackleton students will need to wear their Games Kit on their house trip.
- A packed lunch (FSM students will be provided with one), as well as a bottle of water and suncream are needed for House Trips.
- Students will be meeting in different rooms each day – these will be displayed on screens around the school, so they need to check when they arrive each morning.
