11 September 2026

Dear Parent/Carer,

Open Evening 2026 – Whole School Arrangements

This year’s annual Open Evening will be taking place from 5.45 – 8.00pm on Monday 28 September. Be aware that many students will be involved in either the evening displays or the tours that we put on for prospective students and parents/carers.

Early Close – 1.10pm, Monday 28 September

To allow students and the staff to go home and then return for the evening activities, the school will close at 1.10pm on Monday 28 September. Students on Free School Meals will be able to obtain their meal at break or at 1.10pm from the canteen.

Late Start – 10.45am, Tuesday 29 September

As many students and all teachers will be helping on Open Evening, we will also have a slightly delayed start to school on Tuesday 29 September. Students will be required to be back in school for registration at 10.45am; they will then proceed with the remainder of the school day.

If your child is asked to help on the evening, a separate letter will be emailed to you on Wednesday with full details and a link to reply. We would be most grateful that if asked, your child does help on the evening. Our students are our biggest asset and never fail to impress potential future families.

The fuller the school is, the more resources and teachers we have, which benefits all students both current and future. Indeed, you can help by sharing all the great work the school does and encourage potential families to visit us.

Progress & Partnership Day – Friday 16 October

On this day, normal lessons will be suspended, and each student, accompanied by their parent(s)/carer(s), will have a ten-minute meeting with a member of staff. More information will follow soon.
