Dear Parent/Carer,

Culture Day and Evening
Thursday 25 June 2026

We are excited about our upcoming Culture Day and Evening, taking place on Thursday 25 June. This event is important for students’ personal development - it celebrates diversity, promotes tolerance and embraces community cohesion. After a very successful pilot event in 2025, we are once again planning a vibrant celebration of culture, tradition and unity. The mantra is ‘Celebrate, Connect, Belong’.

As a school with 40 languages, we are proud of the mosaic of traditions which shape students’ identities. These events will allow us a snapshot into these different perspectives that make this school unique. Through music, dance, poetry, fashion and storytelling, our school community can share their culture in a powerful way. You can find more information below.

Culture Day – Engaging Lesson Activities

Throughout the school day, each curriculum department will bring a fun, interactive and hands-on element to the normal school timetable. In addition, cultural trivia games and activities will be delivered throughout the day to challenge students about their global knowledge.

Culture Evening – Conversations That Connect

The evening event will take place from 5.00pm to 7.00pm and will likely feature:

  • The marketplace – attendees can share personal insights about their home countries while consuming multi-cultural food produced by our caterers (The Pantry) as well as parent/carer volunteers.
  • The fashion show – this much-anticipated, informal activity will give attendees the chance to proudly display their traditional, heritage attire.

Whether you wish to contribute to the above or just attend the celebration as a guest, you will be most welcome. Please complete this form to get involved in this important community event.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Fisher and Jo Higginbottom
