Our school production has been a traditional feature of school life for the last forty years – a full drama performance complete with original musical accompaniment. The COVID-19 pandemic meant that, regrettably, we could not hold a performance last year. This has meant that the department is raring to go in 2021, and have prepared something completely unique for this year’s production.

We had so many students who deserved parts that we could not find an appropriate play – so we have written our own! Head of performing arts, Mr McDonnell, has adapted the Pied Piper of Hamelin story into an original script – titled ‘Rats! Rats! Rats! Rats!’ Rehearsals are taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, with students taking roles on stage as well as important parts backstage, as musicians, costumers, stage managers and lighting operators.

We cannot wait to host two performances on the evenings of Thursday 2 and Friday 3 December, so please put these in your diary now. Tickets for this event will be available next week!
