The transition into secondary education is a difficult process not just for students but for parents/carers as well. To that end, the school runs the Isleworth & Syon Association, in order to make new families feel welcome within the school community. All parents/carers become members of the Isleworth & Syon Association when their son/ward joins the school.

The school aims to provide an education focused on academic achievement, giving students a range of additional opportunities within an environment that is ambitious and nurturing. Taking an active role in the Association allows parents and carers the chance to be part of a highly successful school. You are able to express your views to the Senior Leadership Team and Academy Directors (Governors), and hear the latest news and future plans. There are also various different educational evenings and social and fundraising events (detailed in the next tab), all for the benefit of the students and the overarching school community.

In recent years, the Association has provided outdoor equipment for those students taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Scheme, as well as providing a contribution towards the school mini-buses, audio-visual equipment and video cameras for the performing arts department, and concrete table-tennis tables for the playground.

Meetings take place each half-term in the school library. Each meeting has a member of the Senior Leadership Team in attendance. Our team of dedicated parents and carers is coordinated by a Chair, Vice-Chair, Honorary Treasurer and Honorary Secretary, alongside a member of the school’s staff. On top of the events listed below, the Association regularly meet socially, with everyone welcome.
